The work

Real trucks, real yards, real clay.

Every photo on this site is Diamond E’s own: the truck, the crew and the jobs.

Blackland know-how

Under the prairie, the ground fights back.

Honey Grove sits on the Blackland Prairie. The dark clay that made this good cotton and cattle country also swells shut when it’s wet and cracks wide open in August. It soaks up water slowly, so a conventional drain field often can’t keep up.

That’s why so many homes out here run aerobic systems: the water is treated, disinfected and sprayed over the lawn instead of pushed into the clay. They work well, but they need the maintenance visits Texas requires, and the trash tank still needs pumping.

Clay, permits and buying a home
  • Around the clock

Their listing says it plainly: 24 hours a day. Septic trouble rarely waits for business hours.

  • One call, two jobs

The same crew that pumps your tank can bring the restroom trailer for the wedding on the back forty.

  • Clay-country know-how

Blackland soil is hard on septic systems, and it’s the ground we work in, from Honey Grove to the Red River.

  • Straight answers

We tell you what we found in the tank and what it means. No scare talk, no upsell.

How a call goes

From ringing phone to closed lid.

  1. Call 903-505-8101

Tell us where you are, what kind of system you have and what it’s doing. If it’s an alarm or a backup, say so.

  2. We find the lids

Many tanks around here are buried. We locate and dig out the lid or cleanout, then pump.

  3. You hear what we saw

Sludge depth, baffles, liquid level, aerobic parts: we tell you in plain words.

  4. We set the next date

For aerobic customers that’s the next contract visit. For everyone else, a sensible pumping interval.

Where we work

Honey Grove to the Red River and beyond.

Straight answers

Septic questions, answered.

How often should a septic tank be pumped in Northeast Texas?

Most household septic tanks need pumping every three to five years. A large family, a garbage disposal, a small tank or a lot of laundry pushes that sooner.

What is an aerobic septic system?

An aerobic treatment unit (ATU) pumps air into the wastewater so oxygen-loving bacteria break it down far more completely than a plain tank. The cleaner water is then disinfected and usually sprayed over the lawn.

My aerobic system alarm is going off. What should I do?

Silence the alarm at the control panel, cut back on water use right away (no laundry, short showers), and call us at 903-505-8101.

Why is blackland clay so hard on septic systems?

Blackland Prairie clay swells when it’s wet and shrinks and cracks when it’s dry, and it soaks up water very slowly. A conventional drain field relies on the soil absorbing water, and this clay often can’t keep up.

How many portable toilets do I need for an event?

A common planning number is about one unit per 50 guests for an event of around four hours, with more for longer events or when food and drinks are served.
